Florence, Sheffield, Muscle Shoals and Tuscumbia Alabama - the area known as the Shoals - is located in the northwest corner of Alabama, sixty miles west of Redstone Arsenal, seventeen miles south of the Tennessee state line and about thirty miles east of Mississippi. We're right in the middle of three major metropolitan areas - Birmingham, Nashville and Memphis are all about two and a half hours from the Shoals by car, and Atlanta is four hours away. We are served by a system of four lane highways running north and south, east and west; our location on the Tennessee River and our proximity to the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway means we are served by water transportation through our Port. We're also a railroad hub for Northwest Southern, and the Northwest Alabama Regional Airport gives us access to the rest of the world by air.
