We produce as many National Merit Scholars per capita as Huntsville, to our east, and even as many per capita as Fairfax County, Virginia!

The University of North Alabama offers bachelors and Masters programs; Northwest Shoals Community College offers associate and certificate programs and specializes in work force retraining.
